Full Stack Developer (WordPress) FTC

Position: Full Time
Location: Poole, UK or Remote, UK
Salary: £300 - £400 per day

You’ll work directly with designers, project managers, back-end developers, and inspire others around you to create super-smooth responsive experiences and intuitive web applications for our global client portfolio.

We believe creativity is a mindset, and our development solutions are just as creative as our design work. You are a highly proficient full stack developer, building platforms, websites, and web applications collaboratively. 

You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining web applications, from the user-facing frontend to the server-side backend and database.

To be successful, you would need to have experience with both frontend technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, as well as backend technologies like PHP, MySQL, and WordPress. You would also need to have a strong understanding of web design principles, user experience, and web application architecture.

Essentials

  • You have lots of demonstrable experience with WordPress.
  • Proven experience of building high-end, bespoke technical web applications, dynamic responsive websites, and rich online experiences in an agency environment.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with modern web technologies (i.e. WordPress, PHP, Tailwind/Bootstrap, SASS/LESS, JavaScript etc.)
  • Sound understanding and exposure to JavaScript frameworks, like Angular, Vue, or React.
  • Provide confident clean code in HTML, CSS & JS.
  • Experience maintaining an organised and robust infrastructure for platforms, websites, and other server reliant projects.
  • Comfortable working in sprints in an agile working environment or a more traditional waterfall approach, depending on the needs of the project.
  • Ensure code quality and maintainability through code reviews, testing and adherence to best practices.
  • Communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders and actively participate in client meetings as needed.
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies, applying a technically creative mindset to our technical offering.
  • Take personal responsibility for deadlines, code quality, and tasks.
  • Contribute to collective problem solving for our clients.

Desirable – DevOps Experience

  • Knowledge of provisioning and maintaining various AWS services, for example: IAM, EC2, EBS, VPC, S3 & RDS.
  • Supporting with AWS infrastructure availability, performance, security, and scalability
  • Server troubleshooting and resolution
  • Setup of AWS server metrics, logging, and monitoring
