Head of Development

Position: Full Time
Location: Poole, UK
Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 a year

As part of our phase 3 talent search, we are on the lookout for someone to head up our development team and level up our technical offering to our global customer base.

So, what are we looking for?

As Head of Development at Beep, you will be responsible for nurturing, managing, and growing our development projects and team. You will lead our technical offering to ensure our digital offering is current and innovative. We believe creativity is a mindset, and our development solutions are just as creative as our design work. Initially, you will remain partly hands-on as a highly proficient full stack developer, building platforms, websites, and web applications collaboratively.


  • Lead, manage and inspire a team of developers that are in-house, remote and/or on the move
  • Have knowledge and experience of building high-end, bespoke technical web applications, dynamic responsive websites, and rich online experiences
  • Establish and maintain an organised and robust infrastructure for our platforms, websites, and other server reliant projects
  • Define and uphold QA practices to ensure our team continuously deliver to our high standards
  • Contribute to collective problem solving for our clients through online workshops, technical documentation, and detailed proposals
  • Apply creativity to our technical initiative, push it further, together
  • Work closely with the designers, our UX team and project leaders to ensure projects are scoped and planned correctly
  • Daily liaison internally between departments and clients to ensure that expectations are met and even exceeded
  • Mentor and nurture a growing team through our forthcoming academy programme and any onboarding procedures
  • Help us build a small, yet perfectly formed global design/technology agency that is both desirable and inspiring to like-minded professionals
  • Sit board level to influence our direction, principles, and proposition as a forward-thinking progressive design agency, inside and out!
